Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
It's often said that the eyes are the window to the soul. If your eyes appear tired, that can affect how you see yourself as well as how others see you. Eyelid surgery, also called blepharoplasty, can restructure the lower eyelids, upper eyelids or both to give you a more youthful, refreshed appearance. This can lessen the appearance of bags under the eyes or droopy eyelids.
Eyelid surgery can involve the removal of fat making the eyes look puffy or extra skin making the eyes look droopy. Loose skin affecting vision can also be removed.
Every effort is made to hide incisions within the natural folds of the eyelid or at the lash line.
The effects of eyelid surgery are long lasting, but can be reversed over time. There is a small chance that vision will be temporarily blurred or that you will have dry eyes or difficulty closing your eyes. Most complications are temporary.
